Services
We offer a range of energy and compliance assessments to support landlords, developers, consultants, and property managers across the UK. Whether you’re working toward MEES compliance, EPC improvements, Part O requirements, or detailed heat loss calculations, our qualified assessors deliver accurate, fully compliant reports for all types of commercial and residential buildings.
We primarily model using IES VE, but can also carry out assessments using DesignBuilder upon request.

Commercial EPC Surveys Across the UK
We provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for all commercial property types, including offices, warehouses, retail units, and mixed-use developments. Our certified Level 5 EPC assessors use advanced dynamic simulation modelling (DSM) to deliver accurate and fully compliant EPCs across the UK.
Our service includes:
- Coverage for all commercial building categories
- Level 3, 4 and 5 EPC assessments
- Fast turnaround with a UK-wide assessor network
- Full compliance with MEES regulations and building standards
MEES Exemptions
If your property cannot feasibly meet the minimum EPC E rating, we offer expert support for landlords and asset managers applying for MEES exemptions. We’ve successfully registered exemptions for clients in 2024 and continue to assist with complex exemption cases.
- Identification of valid exemption routes (e.g. 7-year payback, devaluation, third-party consent)
- Preparation and submission of supporting documentation
- Registration via the PRS Exemptions Register
- Ongoing support with renewals, appeals, and compliance records

MEES Compliance & Building Upgrade Reports
With increasingly strict Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), ensuring your building meets the required EPC rating is essential to avoid penalties and protect asset value. Our Building Upgrade Reports offer a clear, data-driven pathway to compliance.
Our reports include:
- EPC upgrade recommendations
- Portfolio-level energy performance breakdown
- Bespoke route-to-compliance strategy
- Guidance on cost-effective improvement works
Part O Overheating Assessments
We provide fully compliant Part O Overheating Assessments for new residential buildings, using Dynamic Thermal Modelling (DTM) to simulate real-world internal temperatures. These reports are now required under Building Regulations for many homes.
Assessment covers:
- Orientation, solar gain, glazing ratios, and shading
- Natural and mechanical ventilation strategy
- Internal heat gains and insulation analysis
- Fully compliant with Approved Document O

Heat loss calculations
Our dynamic heat loss calculations support Part L compliance, energy-efficient design, and HVAC system sizing. Using advanced 3D modelling software (IES VE), we calculate total building heat loss and room-by-room heating loads based on actual geometry, U-values, ventilation, and climate data.
Key benefits:
- Accurate room-level heat load outputs
- Supports underfloor heating and boiler sizing
- Based on real occupancy, fabric performance, and location-specific data
- Ideal for new builds, extensions, and retrofit projects
